It often happens that when you are in an area with a lot of networks your iPhone screen starts showing Wi-Fi network pop ups repeatedly asking if you want to connect. This becomes quite irritating especially if you’re in no mood to connect. To get rid of the pop ups you can disable WiFi alerts in a few simple steps:
How to stop iPhone pop ups asking to join Wi-Fi networks
Go to Settings and click on WiFi near the top
Scroll down to the “Ask to Join Networks”option
Click on the toggle button so that the “Ask to Join Networks” is off
Exit from the Settings
That’s it. You will not receive any more pop ups asking to join the WiFi networks. And in case you want to connect to a network you will have to go about it manually.
Go to Settings
Choose the particular network you want to join
Type in the password if required to access that network
However, there is a snag to disabling the WiFi alerts. Your data usage will be more than usual and to reconnect you will be required to do it manually. But, of course there is an advantage too. Your iPhone battery life is saved once the device stops looking out for wireless networks to connect to.
