Styx: Master of Shadows has been labeled an “infiltration game with RPG elements” by its creators. You play Styx, a 200-year-old Goblin, searching out the story of his own origin and a source of a ton of money. It all goes down in the massive Tower of Akenash, and the game supposedly features a whole lot of stealth and focus.
The video we have today shows exactly what Styx is capable of when he reaches latter portions of the game, or so I assume based on the amount of skills he has compared to previous gameplay clips. Over the span of four-ish minutes, we see Styx climb walls, blind enemies with a clone and even poison guards with his spit.
All of this should make for an interesting take on stealth, especially if Focus Interactive manages to craft a stable and interesting world around these core mechanics.
Styx: Master of Shadows will sell as a downloadable title for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s listed at $29.99 on Steam, so expect that price on other platforms as well. If you pre-order it on Steam now, though, you’ll save 20 percent and pay only $23.99.
