Sumptus has just received its first ever update. And it's a major one at that.
Released late last month and subsequently hailed with an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention, Sumptus is a personal finance app that boasts a number of impressive key features. Chief among these is its support for natural language input, for which it has earned the moniker “the Fantastical 2 of expense tracker apps.”
With its first major update, Sumptus has gained additional features of note. These include native resolution support for the “bigger than bigger” iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
There's also the addition of Sumptus' very own Today widget. This widget lets you see your budget status bar and add an expense with just one tap right from the Today view of the Notification Center in iOS 8.
The new version of Sumptus also extends its natural language input support to categories. This allows you to type the category name when adding an expense, instead of having the app automatically choose a category based on previous selections.
The update also features a new “Done” keyboard button for saving expense notes, CSV support for exporting expense data via email, and VoiceOver support, albeit only partial for now.
The app is currently optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only, although its iPad edition is said to be coming soon.
