In our quest to find awesome games for BlackBerry PlayBook one name really shines. That name is Union. Union publishes Unity-authored titles to stores like BlackBerry App World and they do so at no cost to the developer! The latest to take my breath away is Super Crossfire by Radian Games.
Super Crossfire [aka Super Crossfire HD] requires Blackberry tablet 2.0 or higher. This game is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before! The title has been out on iPad, iTouch, iPhone, Mac & PC for a bit. But I can’t help but notice some insane speeds on the PlayBook!
° High intensity action + stylish graphics and music = pure fun
° 150 waves of alien-exterminating mayhem spread across 5 chapters
° Upgrade your ship in 10 distinct areas using skill points
° Bonus unlockable Dark mode adds an additional 150 nail-biting waves
° Tilt, touch, or virtual button control options—the choice is yours
We’ve seen a few great titles come out for BlackBerry PlayBook in the last 48 hours. Of course I scooped them all up right away. Giving a fair couple hours to each give or take an hour or so..
In the first 5 seconds of playing SC on the PlayBook I began to feel like I was ALIVE! A super stimulating experience. You control a shooter in an old school-esq blast-em-all game style. With a unique top down view that hits camera angles like you’ve also never seen before. Speed, precision and a bit of screen slashing (read: button mashing).
RIM should be using games like this to demo the BlackBerry PlayBook. Visually stimulating, and difficult to put down. There’s plenty of games to choose from. But there’s not many that produce this much excitement. My vitals are off the charts! Pulse increased and I’m thinking Union just published viagra for the PlayBook! Check it out below. See what you think.
