This is a fantastic point in the year for smartphone lovers as pre-orders for three of the biggest flagship phones of the year have just begun. These are, of course, the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and the HTC One M9. But unfortunately for HTC, the One M9 just hasn’t been able to keep up with either of Samsung’s new flagship smartphones in terms of hype. Because of this, it seems that businesses such as T-Mobile are taking the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge pre-orders a bit more seriously.
Yesterday T-Mobile put the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and One M9 up for pre-order on their website. Naturally, tons of customers swamped T-Mobile’s website attempting to pre-order their next device, which caused some server issues with the companies online store. But that didn’t stop tons of customers from getting their pre-orders, nor did that stop T-Mobile from following up on their promise. A promise that those who pre-ordered one of these new flagship devices would receive them before the devices actual launch date of April 10th.
Quite a few T-Mobile customers who pre-ordered a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge are reporting this morning that they have already received shipping notices. It gets even better. Most of these shipping notices are showing that the delivery date of their shiny new devices is by April 1st, far sooner than the official release date of said devices.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are great devices to be receiving early. Specs for the two devices are essentially the same except for the fact that the S6 Edge has a curved display and a few extra software features to take advantage of that. Both devices feature 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED displays, 16MP cameras, octa-core Exynos 7 processors, and they come running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. These devices have the potential to be the most popular flagships of the entire year. Needless to say, there are going to be some very satisfied T-Mobile customers in the next few days as they receive their pre-ordered Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices over a week before anyone else. Now it is time to wait and see if any other carriers can deliver a similar experience for their customers pre-ordered devices.
