T-Mobile Nexus 6 Could be Extremely Scarce at Launch

The Nexus 6 is set to hit T-Mobile this Wednesday, but getting your hands on the new device may still be easier said than done. According to a leaked internal memo making the rounds online, the T-Mobile variant will be extremely limited at launch, only appearing in a fraction of the carrier’s stores.

The leak, which was obtained by Android Police and verified separately by TmoNews, reveals “inventory restraints” that could plague the Nexus 6 initially. If your local T-Mobile store isn’t one of the lucky ones you’ll still be able to pay in person and have the device shipped to you in the (hopefully) near future. There is a bit of good news though. Apparently 1,800 T-Mobile stores will be setting up demo units a day early on November 11, with even more coming “shortly after launch.”For interested parties, that will at least allow you to poke around on the phone to decide if it’s the right option for you or not.
T-Mobile is set to offer the Nexus 6 for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $27.08 for a total of $649.92. There’s still no official word on when other carriers plan to release Google’s new stock Android phone, but hopefully it won’t be too much longer.
