Trade in your old smartphone for credit toward a faster 4G model at T-Mobile
Beginning Wednesday, April 25 and running through May 8, T-Mobile is promoting its 4G network with a little something called “Magenta Deal Days.” The promotion encourages customers to trade in their old phones (phones must work) to receive a credit of anywhere from $50 to $200 ($100 for any smartphone; $200 for any iPhone) toward a newer, faster 4G smartphone. T-Mobile’s 4G phone choices include the Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Radar and the brand new HTC One S, which runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
In order to qualify for the offer, you’ll first have to purchase a 4G smartphone on T-Mobile’s website. After that, you’ll be prompted to enter a promo code and then click “Start quote.” You will need to enter the make, model and condition of your old phone in order to receive the quote. Once that’s done, you will need to print out a free shipping label and send T-Mobile your old device, along with your purchase confirmation. You’ll also need a good deal of patience, as it can take up to 60 days to receive your credit, which will arrive in the form of a prepaid Visa card.
