Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review
Following up on our first 48 hours from last month, we added our full review of the Surface Pro 4 in December. I don’t want to spoil the review, but this is a serious contender for a tablet that can do it all. I may be crediting the tablet for features made available from the accessories, but there is no doubt, the complete package is just that, a pretty complete computing package.
We also took the new Apple iPad Pro for a 48 hour spin last month, and it too has had the full review treatment this past month. One thing remained true, this is a large tablet that may be a hard sell to the average user, but may just be exactly what some of you are looking for. We have enjoyed our time with this tablet, it lacks for nothing that Apple hardware has to offer.
We shared our list of the best cheap Android tablets last month, this time around we’re talking the best tablets regardless price. If you are in the market for a great new Android tablet, these are the ones we think you should consider.
Announced earlier in the year, Google’s new Android powered Pixel C went up for sale in December. Prices at $499 there are some that felt this was a bit too expensive, particularly considering the additional charge for the optional detachable keyboard. Our brethren over at Android Authority have taken the Pixel C for a spin, and we expect to get our hands on it soon as well. Until then, check out our coverage and decide if this tablet is worth the price for you needs.
You may think us silly for reviewing an individual accessory, but there is so much to like about this little brick. I’m not going to tell all the Surface Pro 4 owners out there to splurge and grab one of these docks, but I will highly recommend they check out the article to see if this is the accessory for them. Let me spoil it, if you are trying to use your Surface Pro 4 as a productive tablet/laptop, you probably want to pick up the Surface Dock to make it easier.
Surface Pro 4 vs iPad Pro, battle of the heavyweights
With each of Microsoft’s and Apple’s best in our hands, there was only one smart thing to do, a full shootout. Call it what you will, the Big M vs the Big A, Windows vs iOS or just the Surface Pro 4 vs the iPad Pro, no matter what you call it, these are two large tablets with some serious horsepower. In the end, software sort of came down to a matter of taste, but hardware offered a clear winner in this fight. Check out the shootout to see which of these two has more to offer.
Lenovo introduced the Yoga line a while back, encompassing a few styles of devices, including tablets, laptops and everything in between. The newest Yoga Tab 3 and Yoga Tab 3 Pro went through the hands of our reviewers at Android Authority, we’re looking at a decent low to mid-range set of tablets here, but the ace up the sleeve for the Pro version is a built-in projector. Pretty cool idea.
In a familiar rehashing of an older post, we’ve added the iPad Pro to the line of iPads available for sale today. If ever we had a one-stop-shop overview of the iPad lineup, this is it. Enjoy this article, we won’t get to update it again until Apple releases another iPad.
A big congratulations to last month’s winner: Lloyd B. of the United States is taking home the Nexus 9.
