Temple Run released its app for Android today, but some versions don't have access
We were pretty excited over here to learn about Imangi Studios’ Android release of its wildly popular Temple Run app today. But that dissipated quickly when we heard that the Indiana Jones-themed game isn’t actually ready for all Android users.
Specifically, anyone toting around Motorola’s Droid Bionic or Droid Razr will still have to wait to download the free app, according to The Verge. Folks over at the The Verge tested it out for themselves on a Droid Razr and confirmed that Temple Run is not available through Google Play or the Amazon App Store.
The whole thing seems a little strange, considering the Droid 4 (which seems to run the game just fine) operates on a chipset that’s similar to each of the aforementioned phones. When prompted by Droid-Life as to whether or not that will change, Imangi Studios said that it hopes the game will be available on those devices “in the future.” No rough dates, no real confirmation on any actual changes, just hope. Thanks, Imangi.
