TextExpander for iOS has been updated with a new method for sharing snippets. As we previously reported, Apple told Smile that they could no longer use Reminders to share snippets. The new system requires apps using TextExpander snippets to fetch them on a per-app basis rather than using a shared pool, and the apps will need to update to support this. Smile is keeping a list of apps that are ready for TextExpander on iOS 7, which they reset today with this new release.
This update also improves the handling of marked text from input methods like Japanese. A potential issue with sharing snippets over a local network has also bee resolved, and there have been a few other fixes as well. You can download the update from the App Store now.
