Modern smartphones tend to have bigger and bigger screens. But even with bigger screens the problem of quick and comfortable texting still remains. The problem exists even for tablets. And if you don’t like standard keyboard that are offered by developers by default, you may try to use alternative keyboards where keys are placed at the sides of the screen thus allowing you to type with both hands. And the first app that began to offer such a way of typing was Thumb Keyboard for Android. By the way, recently a new version has been released and I’d like to tell you about it. As most apps do, Thumb Keyboard will help you with the installation providing you with the assistance of setup wizard. You’ll need just a couple of clicks to install the app and to get it ready. But before starting using it you need to choose one of the 9 formats.
But a lot of formats for different devices is not the only advantage of the application. The features of the app are really impressive: at your disposal are 27 different themes, autofill functions, keyboard size change, individual settings for portrait and landscape modes, etc.
Apart from that, some functions allow making information input even faster. For example, some parts of the text you may tell to the app, and then insert them in one click. Also there’re buttons for quick format change, and you set shortcuts for the functions you’d like to have quick access to.
Thumb Keyboard has the backup and settings restore functions. It’s worth mentioning that not many keyboard apps offer such functions.
Thumb keyboard is a virtual keyboard with a lot of functions and a large variety of settings. Not every application can boast about that. Apart from that, you can divide the keyboard into two parts for texting with both hands. But: auto correction doesn’t always work the way you’d like it to work (for example, SwiftKey is better in this component). Nevertheless, I still consider it to be a great app.
At first you’ll have to get used to the app. In order to do so, download and install 7 days trial version first. And if you like it then freely buy a full version and enjoy quick and comfortable typing.
