While preparing the list for the summer holiday, you may find a minute or two to check your calendar, maybe play a nice little game, or (why not?) send a warm message to your friends and family peppered with a new set of emojis. Pick your favorite from this week’s top-five-app roundup.
I have tested various task manager apps, and I’ve been using Focus Matrix lately. This smart personal organizer is based on the so-called Eisenhower box, a personal productivity strategy created by Dwight Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States. It offers two view options: matrix (loved that) and list of sections. Focus Matrix is available as a free download, but you can update to Pro for $2.99 if you want cross-device synchronization for example.
Simpliday – All-In-One Calendar
If you are looking for a calendar that allows you to do away with the dull white or plain-colored background, you may want to consider Simpliday. This is a simple app bringing together your meetings, reminders, and emails into one calendar. It allows you to convert emails to reminders with a swipe and to use a custom background you can choose from your camera roll. Download Simpliday from the App Store for free!
Better Notes – Notes Made Simple
Just in case you’ve had enough of Apple’s built-in notes app, here is something new to try: Better Notes. This is a different kind of app – nice and simple. And it supports #hashtags. These #hashtags link all the tagged notes together. It’s a different experience you could test. Download Better Notes for free from the App Store.
CSR Racing 2
It’s not the next-generation Need for Speed, or Asphalt 8 or Real Racing 3. It’s CRS Racing, and here is why you’ll love it if you’re interested in cars and speed: a drag racing experience enhanced with awesome graphics. You’ll compete against opponents from across the globe and – believe me – you’ll feel the buzz to continuously upgrade, tune, and fuse your ride. Download CSR Racing 2 for free from the App Store, and start racing now!
It’s fun to use: You can either send an emoji showing a pet and predefined text, or you can create your own pet. I liked this very much and this is PetMoji. You can create your custom PetMoji avatar with just a few simple steps: You start by selecting a dog or cat, and then share that pet with friends and family via text message, social media, etc. Try it for yourself! Download PetMoji from the App Store for free!
