The all-new LG G Flex 2 is on sale now. You can buy this flexible new phone on-contract or as an unlocked device. Despite the fact that this phone does have some great design features that will protect it from scratches and drops, we still recommend using a case with this smartphone. The right case enhances the look of your phone, while providing a layer of extra protection. Here are five phone cases we recommend for your new LG G Flex 2 smartphone.
1. TUDIA Ultra Slim LITE LG G Flex 2 Case
TUDIA makes some very nice slim-line cases for a variety of phones, including this model for the LG G Flex 2. The color pictured above is “frosted clear,” but other colors like black, purple, and teal are also available. There aren’t any hinged port covers on this case to protect your ports, but that does mean it’s much easier to plug in your earbuds or charging cable.
The texture of this LG G Flex 2 case is soft, thanks to the use of a rubberized gel silicone material. This makes the case comfortable to grip, though some might wish that there was a little bit more texture to the case. With more texture and “grippy-ness,” they’d be less prone to accidentally dropping their phone. The edges of the case rise above the lines of the phone itself, protecting the display when you place the phone face-down on the table. Overall, this is a solid case to protect your phone on launch day.
This simple case doesn’t add a lot of bulk to your phone. It protects your phone from pretty much every angle, but still gives you easy access to your ports. One nice perk? This case ships with a free screen protector. It seems like cases that ship with screen protectors are few and far between these days, so it’s nice to see that little extra with this case. While it’s not a tempered glass screen protector, it does offer basic protection against scratches.
3. Style4U G Flex 2 Studded Rhinestone Crystal Bling Hybrid Armor Case
Want a phone case with a little more visual impact? This bling-tastic option from Style4U is available in fun colors like red, pink, purple, teal, and gold. The case is designed to withstand minor impacts and drops, though it’s certainly a case that puts form ahead of function. Its texture makes it both easy to grip, and unlikely to accumulate grime as the weeks go on. While this case doesn’t ship with a screen protector, it does come packaged with a phone-friendly stylus.
Looking for a G Flex 2 case with a built-in holster/belt clip? This option from Caseformers is a nice choice. In addition to having that all-important clip, this case is rugged, easy to grip, and comes in a lot of different colors. Admittedly, all of those case color options have some black incorporated into the design, but it’s still nice to have some variety.
One nice feature here is the presence of not one, but two separate view stands. This case design has two kickstands for watching movies or chatting with friends. One is on the case itself, while the other is on the holster, and has more adjustment options. For the price you pay, you’re getting a very versatile case.
We love the jagged wave design on the back of this case. It looks great in basic black, but the design really pops when you look at some of the other case colors. Other case options include this same design in purple or clear. The case is designed with some anti-slip properties, which is great news for people with a case of the “butterfingers”. It’s a slim, lightweight case that is easy to remove from your pocket quickly .
If you like this case, you should also check out Cimo’s “X” case for the LG G Flex 2. It’s got a different back design than the Wave case, and you might find it’s a better match for your personal style.
