Topeka Capital Markets’s Brian J White had sent a note to investors after his recent visit to the East, and the Apple Insider report on that is quite revealing. Of course, much of this is old news, but it looks like it confirms quite a lot of things for us. Here’s all about Apple, iPhone 5 relesae date and features news.
In the note sent across to investors and other in-the-loop people, Brian seems to be quite sure of an impending iPhone 5 release somewhere during fall this year. It looks like manufacture of unibody iPhone panels are underway, about to start full-swing in June, which kind of puts the expected iPhone 5 release date somewhere later this year – quite possible, fall.
iPhone 5 features that have been rumored and reported are pretty much the same that we have posted months back.
To begin with, we are expecting Apple iPhone 5 to boast a larger display for the first time. This looks very promising and more and more near-confirmations are happening at the moment.
The Apple’s iPhone 5 features include not just a 4-inch display, but also 4G LTE support. The latest device to support 4G LTE is the iPad 3 and it looks almost clear that the sixth generation iPhone would also boast the same feature. We have had reports that mention AT&T and Verizon tuning up their respective 4G networks and this might be a clear indication of the impending iPhone 5 supporting 4G LTE.
What’s mostly not talked about is the body of the iPhone 5. The report seems to elaborate very little but there is a tone of confirmation here. The iPhone 5, with the current specs, might be having a unibody (and rumors about that had surfaced long back). Some rumors earlier had suggested that the unibody would be aluminum-based but there’s no clear report or rumor on that yet.
Brian made remarks about the iPad Mini too! It seems like there is something cooking up in th Apple labs for the iPad Mini, which will boast a 7.85-inch display, with a 1024×768 pixel resolution. Nobody is sure of the whole thing yet, but the report only states that it was hard to fix a release date for the iPad Mini – which means, the iPad Mini is definitely coming!
