Former browser and mobile-only town-building sim Castaway Paradise is coming to consoles next month, on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stolen Couch Games' colorful adventure began life back on Facebook and made the jump to PC before it came to and settled down on iOS for a rollicking good time. It's now going to be available for console players looking for that next big thing that's as similar to Animal Crossing as we can possibly get.
And as far as similarities go, Castaway Paradise is pretty up there. For instance, you'll be tasked with helping all the animals around the island you're exploring complete various objectives. Whether you need to catch a bug, give them a certain item, or have them give you a specific piece of decor you need for your home, you'll be spending a lot of time with animal friends. You can also spend time growing your own flowers, fruit trees, crops, and more.
Just like in Animal Crossing, villagers will load you down with quests and there's even a daily roster of tasks to finish off throughout your time with the game. Special events will occur on different days, and there will also be rotating sale items as well. If you're still mad that there wasn't anything announced for Animal Crossing on Switch, this announcement's for you.
Castaway Paradise is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on July 30.
