I personally don’t always want to be reminded of the movies I’ve watched. I’ve accidentally stopped the remote on Chiller, after all, and nothing good can ever come from that. But if you’re interested in keeping track of all the movies you’ve seen (and want to see), MovieLog for iPhone and iPod touch can become your own personal AFI (without the haughtiness).
MovieLog tracks the movies you’ve watched or are going to watch, downloading info from an online database to provide you with release year, poster, tagline, synopsis and cast. You can also include your own rating and comments. A free version can keep up to 20 movies on the list, so unless you’re four years old or simply don’t get out a lot, you’ll was to pay $2.99 for the unlimited version.
You can sort and filter your movie list:
sort by alphabet (to easily find a movie by its title) or by rating (to see which movies are most popular)
show only starred movies (those you’ve given a star) to see your favorites
show all movies, or only those you’ve watched, or only those you haven’t
show movies of specific genres only (say, you’re in the mood for a good comedy)
MovieLog is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad (not a universal app), and requires iOS 3.0 or later. It’s available now in the App Store.
