One smartphone in particular which is the #Samsung Galaxy #Note4 is one of the best devices to use if you want to access the Internet on the go. It’s got a nice 5/7 inch display that’s portable enough to be stored easily while big enough to view websites, social networks, and video streaming sites.
With the #GalaxyNote4 you can use the fast LTE connection of your network or a Wi-Fi connection to get online. Sometimes though issues come up such as when your Note 4 is not connection to the Internet. This and other related issues are what we will be discussing in this latest installment of our troubleshooting series.

Note 4 Not Connecting To The Internet Using LTE Problem: I have a Verizon note 4 that is unlocked and I’m using tmobile network. My phone displays the 4G lte symbol but it doesn’t light up. My phone won’t allow me to connect to the Internet without using wifi. When I first got my phone a tmobile rep changed the settings in my phone so that the 4G would work properly bit I recently hard reset my phone and now the Internet isn’t working properly anymore. Any suggestions
Solution: What you should do first is to check with your carrier if your account has a properly provisioned data subscription. Sometimes a phone will undergo a lot of troubleshooting steps only to find out later that the reason why it can’t connect is because it does not have a data subscription. Once you have verified that you have an active mobile data subscription the next step to do is to check the APN settings of your phone. This must match the setting your network is using. Since this phone was previously under Verizon then it may still be using the Verizon APN settings. You will need the T-Mobile settings in your device. This setting may have been erased when you performed a hard reset.

Note 4 Does Not Connect To Wi-Fi Automatically
Problem:My phone stopped connecting to Wifi networks automatically. For example at home and work I have those wifi passwords saved and Sprint connections optimizer turned on, off, it doesn’t seem to matter, I manually have to go wifi setting every time I want to connect to a wifi.
Solution: Try forgetting the Wi-Fi network connection from your phone then before connecting to the network make sure to restart the router first. You may need to enter the network passkey to connect again. Once connected go to the Wi-Fi advanced settings then make sure to set these parameters : Keep WiFi on during sleep = Always, Always allow scanning = Ticked, WiFi Timer = Ensure no times are set and it can always connect.
Sometimes an app installed in your phone can also cause this issue. To check if this is the case you need to start your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while the apps that you installed are disabled. If you can connect to a Wi-Fi network automatically in this mode then the most likely cause of the problem is a third party app, especially a security app.Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If however the problem still persists even in Safe Mode then the problem may already be caused by a glitch in your phone software. Try to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 Not Connecting To Internet After Lollipop Update
Problem:Hello! Thank you for all you do! Every since the lollipop update my Note 4 will not allow me to access the Internet from a wifi connection. If I’m connected to wifi and try to get on the Internet, I immediately get an error message that the Web page is not available and to check my firewall setting??? Can you please advise me on what I need to do? Thank you in advance.
Solution: Does this issue occur on any Wi-Fi network that you connect to? If it does then the problem may be with the phone itself. The first thing that you should do if this is a phone related issue is to forget the Wi-Fi connection then scan for it again and connect to it. If the same error appears proceed with starting your phone in Safe Mode. Since the error mentioned a firewall setting then it’s likely that an app installed in your phone, most likely a security app, is blocking the Internet. Once your phone is in Safe Mode connect to the Wi-Fi network then check if you can now access the Internet.
If the issue persists even in Safe mode then it’s time to backup your phone data and do a factory reset. This effectively eliminate any old software data that may still be in your phone and is causing a conflict with the new software version. Once the factory reset is complete try to check if you can go online.
Note 4 Freezes When Connected To Wi-Fi
Problem:This phone has the worst service and I don’t know what to do it freezes doesn’t connect to the WiFi very well this is my second note 4 places I had service with my s5 I don’t with the note 4
Solution: If your phone freezes when using a Wi-Fi connection then the best thing to do first is to wipe the cache partition of your phone. This clears out the temporary data in your device which may be corrupt or has ballooned in size causing your phone to freeze. Once the procedure has finished try to connect to your Wi-Fi and see if the issue still occurs. If you are still having the same problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 No 4G Signal
Problem:Hey my phone has been having problems with the 4G connection and WiFi that theirs times where i have no signal at all. And I’ve already contacted T-mobile and they did a 72 hour system check but didn’t resolve anything.
Solution: Does this issue occur in one area or does it occur in other different areas? If it only occurs in one area then there may be something wrong with the network or something is blocking the signal from reaching your device.
If the issue occurs in different areas then I suggest you restart your phone first to refresh its connection to the network.
If the restart fails to fix the problem then the next thing to do is to start your phone in Safe Mode to check if a third party app you downloaded is causing this issue. If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode then it is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If however the problem still persists even in Safe Mode then proceed with backing up your phone data then do a factory reset.
