S5 Camera Not Focusing
Problem:Hi, my camera is not working good. When I open the camera to take pictures it’s not focusing. It’s taking a long time to focus if it focuses at all.
Related Problem:Hi droid guy, My s5 picture is sharp and perfect and i tap the screen to make sure, it’s still sharp. I take the photo and it comes out blurred. What am i doing wrong? Regards
Solution: The first thing that you have to check in this case is the camera lens itself. Sometimes the clear transparent film may still be attached to the lens which is usually the case when the phone is new. If this film is still attached then take it out as this may cause your phone to have difficulty focusing.
You should also check your camera lens if it has any dirt on it or grease. This also causes the focusing issues. Clean your camera lens if necessary using a microfiber cloth or lens paper cleaner which you can get at any camera specialty store.
Once you have made sure that the camera lens is clear and the issue still persists you should proceed with clearing the cache and data of your camera app. From your camera settings try to disable the picture stabilization feature and enable the tap to focus/shoot feature.
Sometimes a third party app may also be causing this problem. Start your phone in Safe Mode then check if it focuses properly in this mode. If it does then you will have to find the app that is causing this problem and uninstall it.
Finally, if all else fails you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S5 Security Policy Restricts Use Of Camera Error
Problem: There was recently a Google security update or something like that and now it says “security policy restricts use of camera” when I try to open it.
Solution: If you have an Exchange email setup in your phone then this may be causing the problem. You will need to contact your IT department regarding this as they have enforced certain restrictions on the Exchange account that is setup in your device.
Another solution to this is to delete the Exchange email account that is setup in your phone.
