Here is another ereader tip: did you know that the brightness on your Kindle Paperwhite can be adjusted? It can! It all happens via the top=of-screen tool bar. Tap in the middle of your screen to make the tool bar appear. From left to right, the buttons you’ll see are:
– The home button, which takes you back to the main screen
– An arrow button which takes you back to where you just were previously
– And thirdly, an icon which looks like a light bulb
That third light bulb button is the one you want! Tap it and you will see a slider which lets you adjust the brightness on your Kindle. There is an option to jump straight to the maximum level, or to go up or down one degree at a time.
Bonus tip: continuing on a leftward circuit, the remaining menu buttons are for the store, search, Goodreads features and menu settings. Next week, we’ll talk more about the Goodreads button!
