Even though the MicroB browser does amazingly at displaying most any content we want to check out on the interwebs, it is nice to have a decent app to get around some of the finer points of messing about. Let’s have a look at Tweego!
Tweego is one of the few good Twitter apps found on the N900, and it is good to see it is still getting love, with an update coming out for it only recently. Tweego visually, boasts one of the nicer user interfaces ive seen lately, with smooth transitions and simple neat elements. With its interface, it gives you all the information you need, and doesn’t clutter things up. It supports the default way of throwing tweets at you, and also has an @ tag view, which is very useful.
I found it to be a perfect mix of elements on the N900, showing the right amount of information, with the right amount of control as an app should, letting you load it up fast, check your stuff, chirp, and then log off. If you need more then that every now and then, MicroB is ideal to fall back on.
Tweego is found in Maemo Extras-Devel repository, so if you like to creepily follow people all the time, check it out.
