This change doesn't stop with Twitter. Vine, the Twitter-owned service for uploading six-second clips, is also bumping up its limit. Clips there are now also limited to 140 seconds. In these videos, a six-second loop will serve as the trailer, and users will see a "Watch More" option to view the rest.
On both Twitter and Vine, certain partners will have the option to upload videos that are 10 minutes long. These updates serve as the latest in a series of moves to attract people to Twitter and Vine alike as video platforms.
