Back in March, Twitter announced that TweetDeck AIR, TweetDeck for Android and TweetDeck for iPhone would be killed off. At the time they gave a general ‘early May’ estimate, but today they’ve nailed down the date that they’ll actually go dark: May 7th.
At that time, an update to the TweetDeck blog states, the apps will be removed from their respective app stores and cease to function. At that point, the Facebook integration to all TweetDeck products will also get shut off.
Twitter has said that TweetDeck for Mac and PC will stick around for now, and closely follow the feature updates that the Web and Chrome versions of the app debut. Those Web editions will be the primary TweetDeck experience, though, and will get rollouts of new Twitter stuff sooner.
