Officially announced by Sony a couple of weeks ago, the Xperia Z is certainly among this year’s most interesting Android smartphones. In the UK, the new waterproof handset is expected to be available starting March. We have already reported about its price for the British market (around £520 – £530).
Today we have good news for those in the UK who want the Xperia Z but haven’t pre-ordered it yet.
Retailer Clove is selling the smartphone for £522, throwing in a free Sony SRS-BTV5 wireless speaker (worth £65). The offer seems to be available only for pre-orders, so once the handset arrives in stock the free speaker might no longer be included.
O2, Vodafone and Three are going to sell the Xperia Z on contract in the UK, probably also starting March.
In other European countries (like Poland), the Xperia Z could become available in February.
As for the Xperia ZL (Sony’s other new Jelly Bean smartphone), this will likely not be released in the UK at all.
Earlier today, Sony unveiled its third new Android device for 2013 – the Xperia Tablet Z, which features a 10.1 inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels, quad-core processor, Android Jelly Bean, and a case that’s only 6.9mm thin. The new tablet will be launched in Japan this spring, with other markets to be confirmed at a later date.
