The folks from WinZip Computing have updated their free and paid WinZip iOS apps, adding a brand new redesign for iOS 7, support for Dropbox, and more. For $4.99, users can get hold of the premium WinZip iOS app while a free version is also available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
It’s long overdue, for sure, but WinZip’s iOS 7 redesign will definitely be appreciated by users of both apps. As you can see in the above and below images, WinZip now features a flatter, more minimalistic design which fits in well with iOS 7. However, a redesign isn’t all WinZip Computing has added to its iOS apps.
Both also support AirDrop, Apple’s file sharing protocol, and an enhanced file management system makes it easier for iDevice users to perform repetitive tasks. More accessible access to the applications’ built-in “helpdesk” has also been added.
For users of the paid WinZip app, support for Dropbox is included as of this recent update. Users can both upload to and download from Dropbox, and the feature of course makes it possible for iDevice users to interact with Dropbox-shared zipped files on the go, using a smartphone or tablet.
Here’s a full list of new features added to the paid WinZip app:
