So this step by step guide is specially released to install the new Android 4.4.2 XXU1ANG2 update by using a manually method.
This step by step guide can be used only for Samsung Galaxy S5 model number SM-G900F, so you need to verify the firmware version of the Android device under Settings>About Phone. The model number should be the SM-G900 number, if there is other version then you need to quit this step by step guide.
Download and install the suitable USB Drivers for your Computer, you can use this link.
From Developer Option menu you need to enable the USB Debugging Mode.
Now, uninstall or disable all the security applications such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall and all these kind of applications which might interfere with the flashing process.
Odin application will be used in order to install the new OS on your S5 smartphone.
If your Samsung Galaxy S5 is a rooted device, then you need to know that the root access will be revoked during the process.

First, Download the G900FXXU1ANG2 Android 4.4.2 zip file from this link. (Create a SamMobile user account in order to download the file).
Next, extract the downloaded file to get the G900FXXU1ANG2 zip file (with “tar.md5? extension) and save it in your PC.
Next, download the ODIN 3 v3.09 program from here, save it in your PC and then extract its components on the same location.
Connect the device to computer by using an original USB cord.
Odin should display the “add” message and then you can continue with the next step. If the Odin app doesn’t detect the Samsung Galaxy S5 device then you need to reinstall the Samsung USB drivers once again.
From ODIN main screen click on the “AP” button.
Now, browse your PC and find the extracted G900FXXU1ANG2 tar.md5 file and load it in ODIN.
Ensure that the “re-partition” option is disable and do not make other default settings.
