The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may have just crept onto Facebook via an official Samsung page, but don't get your hopes up just yet.
In a rather confusing turn of events, Engadget reported earlier that the Samsung Pakistan Facebook page had posted an image of a handset claiming to be the Galaxy S3, but it clearly wasn't, and the photo was quickly removed.
However, TechRadar returned to the page and the image had been re-posted, but with a new caption, which read: "Picture perfect view made even more perfect with Samsung Galaxy Note".
Not on your nelly
Take one look at the photo and it's fooling no one, the handset in question is neither the Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note – could it be the Galaxy Note 2? Well there's a tiny chance, but we are highly, highly dubious.
Interestingly it's the same image which showed up earlier this year, flaunting itself as the Samsung Galaxy S3 – which swiftly turned out to be false.
It looks like Samsung's own staff may well have been fooled by a fake from times gone by, and we expect it to be removed from the page (for the second time) pretty soon.
Update: The image has now been removed from the Samsung Pakistan Facebook page for the second time.
We've contacted Samsung for a comment on this debacle, and we'll update the article once we hear back.
