Smarter Apps slipped this gem out right before Christmas and we just didn’t get a chance to issue a fair review at the time. I picked Vampire Hunter up shortly thereafter and quickly got hooked on it like many previous games in their trove.
Vampire Hunter is a premium priced game coming in at $4.99, with compatibility for every BlackBerry device running OS 4.7 to 7.0. And after getting the last 3 Free from SA it seemed a fair price to pay for a 4th game I’d end up loving as well.
° Engaging audio and visual experience
° 3 unique game boards with 15 levels each for a total of 45 different levels
° Advance through the levels to earn new weapons and defences to fend
off more challenging enemies
Keep your neck guarded and the garlic close!
I was a bit taken back by the genre of Vampire Hunter at first considering the last 4 games. At first glance I just expected, maybe hoped I’d be launching bats or steaks across my Bold. I grew up on Nintendo being born in ’78 and evolved through the awesome advances technology brought us in the last 10 years. But I’ve never been a huge fan of tower defense games personally. It takes a really great title with engaging content, graphics, upgrades to reel me in. Though VH does the job and better than expected on a BlackBerry!
Hopefully other users will check this game out too so we can get some updates & additional levels down the road. Very reminiscent of the Plants vs. game. Why change your formula if it’s working right!
It might be a good idea for SA to push a Trial/Lite version out for users that aren’t sold by a few screenshots and eight 5 star reviews in BlackBerry App World. This game really deserves some success.
And yes they do send us and every other popular blog info on their new titles prior to release, but Smarter Appsdoes not supply review copies of their apps/games. We make no profit whether you buy the game or not. I truly enjoy playing it, and that’s just how it is. There’s 9 games in rotation on the 9930, which is a lot for me. Vampire Hunter is in slot #1 for easy access. Check it out for yourself!
