It’s official: Verizon and Motorola are gearing up to announce a new round of Droid devices and according to the invite going out to press, the festivities will take place on October 27th in New York. Rumors point to the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 and the Motorola DROID Maxx 2 being unveiled, which makes sense given the invite specifically mentions “Droids” (plural).
While the Motorola Maxx 2 is said to be a variant of the Motorola Moto X Play (with the same affordable pricing), the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is an entirely new device we haven’t seen yet from Motorola. Word on the street is it could launch elsewhere as the Motorola Moto X Force, but here in the states Verizon has the exclusive.
Those of you on Big Red who’ve been holding out on a new smartphone may want to take notice. The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is looking like a beastly device, with a beefy 3,760mAh battery, “shatterproof” display, and other top of the line specs. Consider us hyped.
