Over the past few days, there has been significant doubt over whether the Verizon LG G3 comes with a removable battery or not. The users’ concerns were completely justified given that the device is expected to be launched this week. And responding to a user query, a Verizon representative has confirmed that the device does come with a removable battery, along with an image as proof.
Manufacturers usually don’t endorse switching of stock batteries due to safety concerns, but it’s pleasing to know that there is such an option in place. So this should put an end to all those reports which suggested that the G3 on Verizon would not support removable batteries.
The LG G3 is easily the most anticipated smartphone right now as it packs a pixel rich 2560 x 1440 resolution (QHD) display, making it the first of its kind to launch in global markets. Although there have been smartphones with the similar displays before, none of them have been available outside China. So keeping that in mind, the LG G3 is a major device for the company. And with all four carriers in the U.S. launching the device almost simultaneously, LG will look to make a big impact.
