Initially announced in January 2011, the Motorola Droid Bionic was only released by Verizon in September, after several delays, and some design changes. Now it looks like Motorola and Verizon are preparing a successor to the Bionic.
According to a form seemingly found at Asurion (a technology protection company), a Droid Bionic 2 does exist, somewhere. Or at least in the company’s listings:
However, Droid-life argues that the name could be just for the Droid Bionic 16GB, launched by Verizon last month for $99.99 on contract. So for now there’s no way of telling if a new Bionic is in the making, or not. But we’ll let you know if we hear more on this.
