What use is a kick-ass tablet if it will only last you a few minutes or hours? Well, basically, that is what Verizon is harping about with the newest addition to their Ellipsis® brand, the Ellipsis® 10 tablet, a 10-inch device with full HD display and probably the largest battery capacity in its category. It is available of course exclusively on the Verizon network and has a 4G LTE capacity so that you’re always connected wherever you are (well, wherever there’s signal of course).
The 10-inch, 1920x1200 pixel display tablet has a beveled-edge design, which seems to be the design of the moment for smartphones and tablets alike. It also has a soft-touch rear enclosure that is both practical and nice to look at as well. It runs on a quad-core processor which clocks in at 1.5GHz. It has 16GB of internal storage but that can be expanded to 32GB through a microSD card. The cameras aren’t something to sing about (but then again you wouldn’t take photos with a 10-inch camera right?) with a 5MP main and a 2MP front-facing one.
Probably its “crowning glory” is its 9100mAh battery that should last you for 25 hours even when you’re using it. It has the largest capacity tablet that is being offered by Verizon. The downside to this is that the device is of course heavier than some other tablets in its category, due to its large battery. It weighs in at around 19.75 ounces, which is heavy compared to the iPad Air 2 which is at .96 pounds (but with a smaller battery of course).
However, the Ellipsis® 10 tablet will come with the Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and not the Marshmallow yet. You can get the tablet for $199.99 with a two-year contract. But if you want to get it upfront, you pay $299.99. The carrier also offers an installment plan where you just need to shell out $12.49 every month for the next two years.
