It shouldn’t be long now until the Motorola Droid 3 becomes available at Verizon – it could happen on July 14. In the meantime, you may want to know that the new Droid will be a world phone – a detail that wasn’t unveiled until now. So, just like the Droid 2 Global Edition, the Droid 3 will feature both CDMA and GSM / HSDPA connectivity.
Android Central has managed to get a list of Droid 3 specs, showed in comparison to the specs of the aforementioned Droid 2 Global, and the Droid X2.
The new Droid obviously bests the other two models, coming (as you may already know) with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a dual-core processor, 4 inch qHD display, 8MP camera, 1080p video recording, front facing camera, and 16GB of internal memory.
I assume Verizon will sell the new Motorola Droid 3 for $200 on contract, since it’s not an LTE handset (prices higher than $200 seem to be reserved for LTE devices only). We’re waiting now for an official confirmation on this.
