One of the coolest things about reviewing apps is every once in a while an app surprises you. Vhoto definitely surprised me with it's ease of use and it's excellence in delivering exactly what the app developers said it does. Great photos from any videos I have on my phone.
First lets talk about the appearance of the app. The app is a simple easy to use interface. When the app loads there's a tool bar at the top and a record button at the bottom. Users can record videos, take selfy videos, turn the front facing camera on, turn the flash on and off, or choose a video from the library. That's about it easy to understand and not too complicated at all.
Functionality is simple. Users can either take videos with the app to grab photos from or open up videos to grab photos from. Then they can use the app to share those videos on twitter for facebook. Users can also invite others to use the app and share with those friends as well. That's pretty much it as far as functionality goes. All I can say is it works exactly as promised. Load up a video and the app finds great photos from that video. I can't say enough about this app. In fact I only found one thing that I didn't like.
The one complaint I have about the app is the lack of the ability to be more a part of the photo finding process. I think the developers should offer a feature in future versions that allows users to choose to automatically find photos or to manually find them as they go through the video. I think that would make this app much more powerful and extremely useful to many more people. Otherwise I think this app is damn near perfect in its simplicity and the results it delivers.
