Elephone is a China-based company which tends to release quite a few smartphones a year. The company’s Elephone P9000 smartphone has been selling really well this year, and if you’d like to know more about it, read our full review. That being said, the company has been teasing another smartphone for quite some time ago, the Elephone S7. This Galaxy S7 Edge look-alike has been popping up online for quite some time now, and the company had recently confirmed both its design and specifications through an official video. That being said, Elephone has decided to release yet another video in which they compare the Elephone S7 to the Galaxy S7 Edge directly, read on.
The company is not denying that the Elephone S7 resembles the Galaxy S7 Edge, at least judging by their latest video. If you check out the embedded YouTube clip down below, you’ll get to see the Galaxy S7 Edge and Elephone S7 side-by-side. Both of these devices are made out of metal and glass, and even though their glass back panels look quite a bit different, their front side is really similar, even though we don’t get to see that in this video. Anyhow, it seems like the Elephone S7 will have a larger footprint than the Galaxy S7 Edge, even though both devices sport 5.5-inch displays (do keep in mind that one variant of the Elephone S7 will have a 5.2-inch display, but this seems to be a 5.5-inch model). The glass on the back of the Elephone S7 actually reminds us of glass that was used on the Honor 8, at least the reflection looks quite similar, and the same can be said for its color, which means it is possible Elephone has used several sheets of glass on the back, as Honor did.
The Elephone S7 will launch in both 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch variants, though both panels will sport fullHD resolution. The Elephone S7 will pack in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor will fuel this device. The 13-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the Elephone S7, while a 5-megapixel shooter will be available on the phone’s front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box, and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery will be a part of this package as well. The phone will be available in Purple, Green and Gold color options, while it is expected to launch soon.
