Some of the biggest Xbox games of the year won’t come on discs. In this Game|Life video preview, we get the rundown straight from the developers about four major new downloadable Xbox Live Arcade games coming to your console in 2012: South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge, Diabolical Pitch, Minecraft and Quantum Conundrum.
What all of these games share is an out-of-the-box attitude that’s more common to the less risky downloadable games market. South Park features borderline obscene enemies like chickens with six human breasts or similarly four-assed frogs. Quantum Conundrum, from one of the designers of Portal, is a first-person puzzle game about shifting between strange dimensions, like the fuzzy dimension where everything is made of cotton. Diabolical Pitch is about a baseball pitcher trapped in a nightmarish carnival world.
