In Q1 this year, ViewSonic announced its first two Android smartphones, the ViewPad 4, and the V350. Neither of them seem to be available for purchase right now, though. However, if The Mobile Indian‘s report is correct, both handsets should be launched in India sometime soon.
Running Android Gingerbread, the ViewPad 4 features a 4.1 inch WVGA display, ViewSonic 3D UI, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, 5MP camera with 720p video recording, and a 1GHz processor.
The V350 (pictured below) doesn’t run Gingerbread, but 2.2 Froyo. Anyway, its main selling point is the fact that it’s a dual SIM phone. Other features include: 3.5 inch HVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 5MP camera.
Reportedly, the ViewSonic ViewPad 4 will cost about 20,000 INR ($450). The ViewSonic V350 will be slightly cheaper: 17,000 INR ($380).
