A birthday party was spoiled when a Sealy, Texas, family received a stack of notepads from Walmart instead of the iPad they purchased, Kens5 reports.
Bobbi Linden had bought the iPad as a gift for her daughter. However, what she received was a stack of notepads in an iPad box.
As it turns out, the family fell victim to someone's fraudulent return, which went unnoticed by Walmart.
To make matters worse, the family went back to the Walmart store to resolve the matter, but the manager was unable to help them. “She was just saying she has never seen it happen before and she couldn’t help us,” said Linden's daughter Courtney Akers.
