On Thursday, November 21st, Nokia Music had a makeover and threw a party in the VIP room at Club Nokia to celebrate. The room was full of Nokia fans, brand new devices to play with, and featured a performance by Wardell, the up and coming indie rock band formed by siblings Sasha and Theo Spielberg.
Nokia Music was transformed into Nokia MixRadio, a free music streaming service that works straight out of the box – no sign up, no subscription, and, best of all, no ads – and is exclusive for all Nokia Lumia devices.
To honor the new Nokia MixRadio and newest Lumia devices, we recorded Wardell’s previously unreleased track “Dancing on the Freeway” during their set with a Lumia 1520 and filmed a live music video with seven Lumia 1020s. All audio and video were recorded live and were not manipulated in any way during post-production. No color correction, no effects, and no sound design was applied to the raw footage.
Check out the premiere of the live music video for Wardell’s “Dancing on the Freeway” below, filmed solely with the Nokia Lumia 1020 and recorded with the Lumia 1520.
With Nokia MixRadio, you have hundreds of mixes at your fingertips crafted from a catalogue of 27 million songs, with new mixes – including ones created by celebrities – added every week. You can even save your favorite mixes to play when you’re offline.
