This week saw more premiere (and choice) Windows 8 mobile devices than we’ve bore witness to in a long time. Not only did we review Nokia’s new Lumia 2520 tablet and Lumia 1520 phablet, but Microsoft’s own Surface Pro 2. Blackberry’s Z30 came through the LAPTOP Labs, as did the Motorola Moto x on Republic Wireless. Rounding out this week’s tablets that were put through the ringer are the LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra, Toshiba Excite 7 and IdeaPlay Tablet. And yet, we still had time to review the Toshiba Tecra Z40 mobile workstation, iWork for OS X and two pairs of headphones: the Bose QuietComfort 20i earbuds and the Bowers & Wilkins P7 over-ear cans. We had quite a busy week, so get busy catching up with the slideshow below.
BlackBerry Z30 (Verizon Wireless)
It has not been a good year for BlackBerry. The company's market share crumbled, it ousted its CEO and a sale of the company fall apart. But BlackBerry isn't giving up. The new Z30 ($199 for Verizon Wireless) hopes to give other big-screen phones a run for their money with a bold 5-inch AMOLED display and a battery that's rated to last for a whopping 25 hours. BlackBerry has also added more advanced audio technology and enhanced its software, but does the Z30 really stand a chance at this stage of the game?
