This post is just a rumor round-up ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S III announcement that is coming in a few hours.
The name is pretty much confirmed as the Samsung Galaxy S III, with a model number of GT-I9300. The boot-up screen can be seen above. The Galaxy S III will come initially in white and blue.
The form factor is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S II, but bigger. Different rumors suggest that the screen will be around 4.6 to 4.8 inches, together with a 720p Super AMOLED HD+. The pixel arrangement on the screen will be in a RGB-matrix arrangement, instead of the Pentile-matrix that causes straight lines to be zigzag.
Speed-wise we’re getting a quad-core Exynos 4 Quad SoC in the international version, while the US bound version will run on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4.
The camera will be either 8 or 12-megapixels, with most rumors suggesting it will be the latter.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich together with the newest flavor of Samsung’s own TouchWiz is a pretty obvious choice as the operating system.
