Swampy the Alligator is a creatures of simple pleasures. While his fellow flesh-eaters may enjoy swimming through their local sewers, the hero of Where’s My Water prefers a relaxing shower. It’s your job to make sure Swampy’s cleaning compulsion is satisfied by delivering the water he needs to shower himself through various physics-based challenges.
Where’s My Water is Disney’s second outing on Android following on from the average Puffle Launch. While Puffle Launch had the same cartoon graphical charm as Swampy’s Android outing, it was seriously forgettable in terms of long term playability. In contrast, Where’s My Water holds 120 levels to play through and plenty of entertaining touches to easily elevate it above the standard of a kids only title.
The basic gist of the app sees you drawing a line on your touchscreen from the water’s source to Swampy’s bathtub. The quicker you serve up this alligator’s shower and the more rubber ducks you collect during transit, the better the score your achieve at the end of the level.
It’s a deceptively tricky concept and one which is made progressively more difficult to achieve when a series of fiendish obstacles are thrown your way. Poisonous sewer water, rapid-grow mould and several broken pipes all serve to make this app that little bit more tough as each level passes by.
While Where’s My Water may not be an exceptional Android puzzler, it does a fantastic job at being accessible for all the family without being a total breeze for adults. A gem of an Android app.
The Bottom Line
A charming and accessible puzzler for all the family.
