Qualcomm's been dealing with some rough reports on its Snapdragon 810 with claims of it overheating doing the rounds and that was followed by it being dropped from the Galaxy S6.
Last night it was revealed the LG G4 has opted for its lower-end sibling the Snapdragon 808.
According to a Qualcomm executive it's not a hit for the company - Tim McDonough head of marketing at Qualcomm said, "The decisions on which chipsets to put on which handsets come from over a year ago."
McDonough also furthered the companies position that the Snapdragon 810 isn't overheating and it's still the main push for the company.
But the LG G4 was the last major flagship handset we're expecting to see for quite a while meaning it's only the HTC One M9 boasting the latest and greatest Qualcomm chipset under the hood.
