Polish developer CD Projekt Red today announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 24, 2015. Previously, the game was expected to be released sometime in February 2015. CD Projekt Red made the announcement today during the company's annual summer conference, which recently ended.
In addition to announcing the game's release date, CD Projekt Red today revealed the preorder bonuses and collector's edition for The Witcher 3. The preorder bonuses, which leaked this morning, include a map, stickers, manual, a special Witcher Compendium, and a soundtrack. This will be available at all retailers where you can buy the game.
The collector's edition, meanwhile, includes a special Geralt figurine, a 200-page art book, steelbook game case, a wolf medallion made of steel, and everything from the standard edition. Pricing was not announced.
If you preorder The Witcher 3 through CD Projekt Red's own store, GOG, you'll get even more. In addition to a special limited-time $54 price point, you'll get a DRM-free version of the game (of course), as well as access to the closed beta for upcoming Witcher Adventure Game, a copy of Neverwinter Nights (for immediate download), a digital Witcher comic book, an extended soundtrack, and a digital art book. There's also wallpapers, avatars for social media, and never-before-published digital artwork included with GOG preorders.
CD Projekt Red cofounder Marcin Iwinski previously said that The Witcher 3's preorder bonuses on GOG would be "f***ing amazing." Do you think they've lived up to the hype? Let us know in the comments below!
