Siri and Cortana are pretty damn helpful, but they still leave a lot to be desired. While some of the issues will be fixed in time as new tech emerges; some issues can be alleviated now with 3rd party apps. Wondervoice is one such service.
Like Siri and Cortana, Wondervoice can answer many questions, but differentiates itself in the fact that it is a true social media personalized assistant. Unlike Siri, Wondervoice is not locked down by only allowing integration with certain apps, and instead unlocks access to your entire app ecosystem.
The main appeal of Wondervoice is its social app integration. Quickly get up-to-date on what’s going on with your friends on Facebook by simply saying things like, “Read my Facebook feed.” Or, if you’re driving and want to listen to your favorite playlist on Spotify without having to take your eyes off the road, a simple “Play Acoustic playlist” will do the trick.
Use it with Glympse to quickly set your location so friends and family can see that you are, in fact, on your way and not still in your pajamas, sitting on the couch. There’s a whole world of apps that you can use with Wondervoice.
In its latest update, Wondervoice finally gets the feature most users were clamoring for; Twitter integration. Now you can quickly and easily check almost any aspect of Twitter. “Wondervoice, please tweet ‘Stuck in an endless sea of traffic,’ and the app will tweet it out for you. Trying to follow live tweets from a conference? Wondervoice can do that to by simply asking it to read the latest tweets from the specified user.
“Language is extremely dependent on context and purpose,” states CEO and founder Gal Melamed. “By studying and understanding the different uses of non formal language, we are able to build adaptive contextual speech recognition that can cross platforms, and thus provide users with the freedom to vocally interact with any application they choose by providing the ultimate hands free experience.”
Wondervoice is currently available on iOS, so if you’re looking for a voice assistant to assist you in all things social media, it’s definitely worth checking out.
