Metalhead Software announced today that Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings will be coming to Xbox One and Steam this summer. Super Mega Baseball is already available for download on PlayStation 3 and 4 have been since December 2014.
“Right now there are few options for quality, accessible sports titles on the market, particularly when it comes to baseball games on the Xbox One and PC,” Metalhead Co-founder Scott Drader said. “We’re really looking to put this genre back on the map for more casual fans.”
The new edition of SMB will feature two new stadiums and features that enhance gameplay, including four player local co-op. A post from on SMB’s blog said PlayStation owners will be able to access the new content and more details will be available soon.
Super Mega Baseball is a cartoony take on America’s pastime with a deep baseball simulation and life-like physics. SMB can be played solo or competitively and offers a difficulty system that levels the playing field between novices and experts. The baseball simulation is complemented by a leveling system that allows gamers to hire staff and buff attributes with the skill points they earn.
