Microsoft's Xbox One is said to be made available for purchase from brick-and-mortar retail stores, starting next month.
Until now, the popular gaming console was exclusively available on Amazon India e-commerce site. But, it looks like the year-long exclusive deal between Microsoft and Amazon is coming to an end which is why Microsoft is taking this step.
However, it is worth noting that the console will be sold exclusively at Microsoft stores as of now.
It is also being said that the console is already doing a few trial runs at select Microsoft stores.
Adding more on this, Microsoft seems to have not approached other retail stores such as Reliance Digital, Landmark and Croma due to large amounts of unsold inventory of Xbox 360.
To recall, the Xbox One was launched back in September 2014 in India and was exclusively available on Amazon while prices for the latest generation console started at Rs 39,990. Ever since then, the price have been dropped and a new Assassin's Creed bundle of the Xbox One is now available for Rs 34,990.
