Xiaomi launched the Mi 5 Pro smartphone with 3D ceramic body back in February. Today, the company has released the White variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro smartphone in China with 3D Glass body instead of the 3D ceramic body seen on the standard edition of the Mi 5 Pro. The White version of Mi 5 Pro also comes with a slight price cut and will be available at 2599 Yuan (approx $400 / Rs. 26,642) starting April 29th on Xiaomi’s official website.
Apart from the 3D Glass back, the smartphone has all the features similar to the standard Mi 5 Pro. It has a 5.15-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-Hd display with 428ppi as pixel density, 600 nits of brightness and curved Gorilla Glass 4 on top for protection. It comes powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
On the camera department, the smartphone features a 16MP Sony Exmor IMX298 rear camera with 4-Axis OIS, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash and a 4MP front shooter for selfie lovers. The device comes with a beautiful design and also includes a physical home button that double’s up as fingerprint sensor for extra security. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7 overlaid.
The handset boasts a 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 10 hours of talk time and upto 250 hours of standby time and also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It includes connectivity options like 4G+, VoLTE, NFC, GPS/A-GPS and USB Type-C port for faster transfers. Its dimensions measure 144.5 x 69.2 x 7.25 mm and weighs around 129 grams.
