The #Xiaomi #Mi5 smartphone has made its way to the leaks and rumors for quite a few months now and hasn’t seen a release yet. A new word now talks about the possible pricing of the handset. It is being said that the device will cost somewhere close to $320 for the 16GB model when it is revealed early next year.
Interestingly, this would be the same cost as the Mi 4 flagship that was unveiled last year. The company will also have a 64GB model apparently, which will be slightly more expensive at $400. That’s not too expensive considering the hardware that’s expected to be on board.
It has been speculated that the Mi 5 will be the first handset to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 silicon, which should make it a very capable flagship. Since Qualcomm has already mentioned that the chip will not be shipped out until early 2016, we can rule out any possibility of the smartphone launching this year.
Apart from the powerful chipset, the smartphone is also expected to be packing a fingerprint scanner, a 5.2 inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, a 13-megapixel front camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and a USB Type-C port, which is quickly becoming an industry standard.
