Xiaomi’s Mi5 is just a few weeks away from its expected announcement, but the rumored smartphone is still finding ways to surprise us. A new benchmark from GFXBench suggests the company could have a phablet-sized version of the device up its sleeve.
According to the latest leak, the Mi5 will pack a 5.7-inch 1080p display, along with the expected Snapdragon 820 processor and Android 6.0 software. It’s possible this could be the rumored Mi5 Plus, which suggests Xiaomi is planning two versions of its flagship device. Of course, it could also simply be a mistake by GFXBench.
The smaller Mi5 is rumored to pack a 5.2-inch display, possibly with a Quad HD resolution. It may also offer a 3000mAh battery, a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and a fingerprint reader.
Rumor has it Xiaomi could also offer a Windows 10 version of the Mi5. If that’s the case the company may have a whole bunch of different variants in the pipeline, though we won’t know for sure until the official debut later this month on February 24.
