We’ve already seen plenty of renders of Xiaomi’s Mi5, but a new leak may finally reveal the actual device. A pair of photos out of China claim to show the front panel of the long-rumored flagship phone, revealing a few new details along the way.
The leak doesn’t reveal much about the Mi5’s design, though you can clearly see a home button cutout near the bottom. However, the same tipster also claims that Xiaomi’s new phone will measure 5 inches across its screen with a 1080p resolution. That’s a pretty big step down from the 5.2-inch Quad HD we’ve been expecting.
Other rumored specs for the Mi5 include a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and a reversible USB-C port. Then again, based on this latest leak it looks like Xiaomi could skimp on some specs to keep the price down so we’re not really sure what to expect.
There’s still a ton of anticipation around the Mi5 and we can’t wait to see what Xiaomi has planned. Rumor has it the company could unveil its new phone early next year so hopefully we’ll get an official look at the device pretty soon.
